We often get phone calls and messages about the different types of home window tinting that we provide. We have many individual blog posts on this subject but we thought that we would do a comprehensive blog post on some home window tinting examples from 2024. Here are some of our most recent installations showcasing our five main types of residential window film that we install.
Our five main types of window film are as follows:
- Heat Reduction
- Privacy
- Energy Saving
- Frosted
- UV Blocking
We also do glare reduction but three of the above (heat reduction, privacy and energy saving) all come with glare reduction as it is inherently a part of the films properties.
Privacy film.
A window film that is very popular all year round. This is the most popular installation request that we get. Here are a few examples of our privacy film. With this type of film the brighter it is outside the more effective the level of privacy.
Heat reduction film.
This is our second most popular window film installation. Heat reduction film works by reflecting the external heat away from the window thus reducing the temperature inside of the property. Our heat reduction film being metallic in design also means that it offers very good privacy properties too. Most of our window films come with at least a 7 year warranty so once it is installed on your property you are good for many years to come. If you are in a rental property it is also very easy to remove without causing any damage so is also a viable choice for renters too.
Energy saving window film.
This is our third most popular installation request. This film is more expensive than both privacy and heat reduction window film, but for good reason. This film is the perfect “all-year-round” choice as it ticks many boxes. Not only does it help reduce energy bills in the winter by reflecting heat usually lost through the windows back into the property it also has heat reduction properties in the warmer months, plus a high level of privacy too. It is the most versatile home window film that you can buy.
Frosted window film.
Sometimes when privacy film isn’t effective enough and you don’t want to go too dark to achieve privacy frosted window film is a good option. In this example we installed some frosted film to a kitchen window. This ensured complete privacy whilst still allowing in lots of natural light.
UV Blocking window film.
We are including a picture although to be fair it’s a bit pointless as our UV blocking film is completely clear. It does one thing only but does it very well. It filters out almost 100% of harmful UVA and UVB rays. This makes it perfect if any of your furnishings or treasured belongings are suffering from sun damage.
So as you can see from the above home window tinting examples we have a wide range of window film for a wide range of purposes. Please feel free to contact us if any of the above interest you. We are a small family run business so you will receive a personal and first class service.
